Weekend Round-Up

weekend roundup

Is it just me or do the weekends feel like they're getting shorter and shorter? I feel like I just walked out the school doors on Friday, and I'm already having to get ready to go back at it tomorrow.
I enjoyed a pretty lazy weekend. I didn't do anything exciting. Our weekend started off not so great when our internet went out! Luckily my husband knew how to fix the router to make it work again, but we were without internet from Friday to Saturday afternoon.

Friday night I finally completed one project I've been wanting to do since we moved into our house! I finally put together our gallery wall, and I am so in love with it!

I am in love with how it turned out! It makes me so happy when I look at it, which is a lot since it's in our living room.

Most of the frames I used came from Walmart. The subway print canvas came from T.J.Maxx several years ago. I bought it knowing I wanted it hanging in my house someday, and now it is! The cross with the quote on it was a gift from my husband last Christmas. He did good right? The green wood board with the quote on it was a wedding gift, and it came from a local store we registered at for our wedding.

I'm so glad I was finally able to hang everything on the wall! At our renter house we weren't allowed to hang things on the wall, so I wasn't able to do this. I had to be patient and I'm so thrilled with how it turned out!

Where Is Summer Going?

I feel like the last day of school was just last week. Does anybody else feel that way? I guess time is flying by because I have been so busy lately. I go back to school in less than a month! How crazy is that?!? My classroom isn't anywhere near ready for a new year yet! I also just found out I will be coaching our Junior Varsity volleyball team this year! I am very excited about that!! I was SUPER nervous when I first found out, but it's starting to turn into excitement now! I played volleyball all through school, which was seventh to twelfth grade! It was my favorite part of school! I played every position there is at some point throughout the years. It'll be interesting to be on the coaching side of it instead of the players side.

House update:
Our new house is starting to come together pretty nicely now! It's nice seeing it without boxes everywhere. We still have a few boxes to unpack, but we're waiting on some we furniture before we actually unpack those. Sammy, our puppy, just keeps growing and growing! I swear he looks taller every day! I'm kinda obsessed with taking pictures of him, so if you follow me on Instagram you've seen a lot of pictures of Sammy. I try to hold back and not post so many, but he's just so darn cute!!

Weekend Round-Up

This past weekend sure was busy! That's why the Weekend Round-Up is happening on a Thursday! We have FINALLY moved into our new house! I am already loving it so much! We have finished making trips back to our renter house, so I am completely done with that house! Thank goodness!! We moved Thursday, and went to pick up Sammy (our goldendoodle) Friday. He is so timid. I have never been around a puppy as timid as he is. He has come out of his shell with me and my husband, but gets so scared when we have visitors. We are slowly introducing him to different things, people, and places while also trying not to overwhelm him. He is the cutest thing though! He honestly looks like a stuffed animal. His personality is so funny, too. We enjoy watching him because you never know what he's going to do next!

Our house is perfect so far! We rented a UHAUL to help us on moving day. I'm so glad we did too because we had a lot more stuff to move than I realized. We rented the 26' truck, which I thought would be to big, but we filled it up! It was around 95 degrees the day we moved! Talk about miserable! It was just me, my husband, and my mom that helped with the move. Since we moved on a Thursday everybody else that would usually help us had to work.

I think the unpacking process is fun, crazy right? I think it's fun to get a new start with all of your things! It gives them a whole new look! Pictures will be coming soon!

I'm Still Here

It's been a month since my last blog post. Don't worry, I didn't go anywhere. The end of school was very stressful with last minute organizing things I needed to complete. On top of that, I have been packing up my entire house to move! We have finally bought our first home! I can check that off our 101 in 1001 list! Pictures will be coming soon once it doesn't look like a tornado hit it anymore. Here's what our boxed up renter house looked like.

I will be posting pictures of Sammy on Instagram (@brittney_sharp6) regularly, so be sure to follow if you don't already!

Pinterest Top 5

top5
If you are new to my blog let me go ahead and warn you, I am obsessed with Pinterest! I love everything about it! I spend way to much time on it, if that is even possible! I will occasionally narrow down the pins I'm obsessed with to only 5! It's difficult, trust me! Here's me top 5 for today:
1. Book Retriever
This is an app available in on iTunes. This app is intended to use in the classroom to keep up with books in the classroom library. It can also be used to check in and check out the books! I think that's fabulous because it will be a way to really keep up with who is borrowing which books. I'm going to make this my summer project so I will be able to implement it next year! Has anybody else used this app or a similar one? What are your thoughts?
2. Baby Scarf Bibs
I never knew baby scarves were a real thing. I love scarves, so of course I would love them for a baby too! Not that I am planning on growing my family anytime soon, but this is something I am definitely going to keep in mine whenever that day does come. Isn't this just the cutest thing?!?

3. Italian Deli Crazy Bread
I always love a good recipe, and I believe this is another one I can add to my collection! I have not made this crazy bread yet, but it sure does look delicious! After reading through the ingredients I have no doubt I will be trying this very soon!

 4. Classroom Memes
Who doesn't love a good meme? I personally find them to be just down right hilarious at times. I came across this meme for teachers the other day on Pinterest, and I literally laughed out loud! In my classroom lately my students always forget to bring their pencils. They act shocked when I mention writing something down because obviously they were not planning on writing in class at all judging by their lack of pencils. I'm sure other teacher can relate!

5. Flower Pots
My husband and I are moving in about a month and I couldn't be more excited! I am really looking forward to planting flowers in a flower bed in front of our new house. We don't have a flower bed at our renter house now, so we can't just plant as we please here. I also plan on buying some flower pots to set on our front porch. This pot of flowers is just stunning! I hope I can make our flower pots look at good as this one!

That wraps up our Pinterest Top 5 for today! I hope you enjoyed! :) Be sure to follow me on Pinterest to see what else I'm pinning!
