Mini Vacation

One of my favorite things is long weekends. There's something about getting that extra day that makes me feel refreshed. Whenever I get the chance I love to go to Gatlinburg, TN. Since today is MLK Day, I did not have school today which means long weekend for me! My mom and I decided to spend the weekend in Gatlinburg! If you follow me on Instagram you already knew that! I've been posting pictures on there regularly.

Here are some of the highlights from our trip!

Happy New Year!

2015 is finally here! It's hard to believe! 2014 was a wonderful year! I planned my wedding, got married, quit my part-time job, got my first teaching job, and moved into my first home. I am anxious to see what 2015 has in store!

I'm not usually one to write New Year Resolutions, but this year I have. Several involve my teaching job, and being the best person/teacher I can possibly be there. I also want to be more positive during 2015. I started to get a little negative towards the end of 2014, so watch out Positive Patty is on her way! Obviously I want to live a healthier lifestyle, the typical resolution. I have also created a budget for my husband and myself to follow this upcoming year. We'll see how that goes!

I have been inspired my another fellow blogger to get outside of my comfort zone and try something new this year. Leslie Ann over at Southern Belle Inspired made it her resolution last year to post one picture everyday. She called it #LAeveryday2014. I love that now she can look back and reflect on her year just through her Instagram pictures. This is my last and final resolution this year. I will be taking one picture a day and posting it to Instagram ,and sharing it on Twitter as well. I will call mine #RaeEveryday2015.

I can't wait to see what this year has in store!

P.S. Check out Leslie Ann's blog! It's wonderful! Southern Belle Inspired
