Top 5 Pinterest Pins

I have been more obsessed with Pinterest lately. I have been a pinning machine these past few days!
It's been a while since I did one of my Top 5 Pinterest Pins post, so I thought now would be an appropriate time. It was a struggle to narrow down my recent pins to just 5 favorites. They're all my favorite that's why I pin them!
Here goes nothing..

1. These pillows are to die for! They are gorgeous! I love the coral print with the white background. They are a great size too! These would add a great color pop to any room. This Etsy shop is full of all kinds of beautiful pillows. I love them all!

2. I tend to over stress about things quite often. I have always done it and I'm not sure why. I have a touch of anxiety at time too. It's mainly when I am going somewhere completely new and not knowing anybody there. It also happens when I have to speak in front of people (particularly my age and older). I found this this blog on Pinterest one day and I am obsessed with her! I added an icon on my homepage of her blog so I have easy access when I'm on my iPad or iPhone. Mary wrote this post about 20 Bible verses on anxiety and stress. I think they're perfect! I plan on writing them all down and hanging them throughout my house.

3. I don't know if you all know this about me, but I love couponing! It's hard to do in my small town because we only have a few places to shop but I still love to do it. Not much excites me more then seeing my price drop dramatically after I hand the cashier my coupons. Talk about an adrenaline rush! This pin is about how to make your own laundry detergent. I have never made my own before, but I'm no against it either. We could save a TON of money by simply making our own laundry detergent vs. buying expensive detergent. I'll let you know how it works out when I try it!

4. My husband and I want to puppy so bad! Unfortunately we can't get one because we live in a renter house and the rule is no pets. So for now Ben and I drool over puppy pictures together (pathetic right?). Ben would love to have a lab whereas I would like to have some kind of dog that does not shed hair to bad. We want whatever dog we get to be an inside dog so how much they shed is a big deal. Poodles are great about not shedding fur, I don't think they shed at all actually. Now, I do not want a poodle; they're not my favorite (unless is a teacup poodle). I found a easy solution for us right here on Pinterest. Labradoodles! They're perfect in my opinion. Ben gets the big playful lab he wants and I get the dog that doesn't shed ridicliously, see it's perfect! How can you not fall in love with this little guy???

5. Last and certainly not least, this haircut. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.. Now, I have had shorter hair in the past but I grew it out for our wedding. Now that the wedding is over I knew I had to get rid of this long hair. This hairstyle was my inspiration. I knew I wanted it shorter in the back and longer in the front so I could still pull it back into a ponytail. Plus, it's just to cute when it's curled! This is form another fellow blogger who is new to me, but I can tell I love her blog already!

Here's a picture of my haircut too. It feels so much better this length! I think I'm going to maintain it like this.

The Best Day of My Life

We can finally mark #2  off my 101 in 1001 list! ( You can find my full list here). My best friend and I finally got married in May. We dated for 7 years, so we were beyond excited that the day finally came.

It was not a fairy tale day though. It literally POURED rain all morning! It was very nerve-wracking!
Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of the weather while I was getting my hair done.

Our wedding was outdoors at a local bible camp. I made the decision the week of the wedding that we were going to have the ceremony outside on the BEAUTIFUL deck. The reception was inside the chapel at the camp. Since I made my final decision there was no turning back, rain or shine.

The original plan was that all my bridesmaids and myself were going to wear our cowboy (cowgirl??) boots during the wedding. We decided while we were getting our hair done that we were going to bring our rain boots too and if it did not stop raining that was plan B. We all also brought umbrellas too, just in case.

Luckily it did stop raining about 15 minutes before the ceremony and the sun actually came out. I guess it was good luck rain! The rain did bring cooler weather though. Who knew I would be freezing in May?? I almost wore a sweater down the isle!

I'd like to share a few pictures fro our wedding, I hope you enjoy!

My dress was absolutely perfect! It was literally the first dress I tried on. The sash made it perfect!

Like I said, it rained all morning. The bottom of my dress got a little dirty
(don't worry it all washed out).

You can't go wrong with boots and pearls.

Our guest book table was on a big cable spool. I made the fans thinking it would be warmer weather, but thanks to the rain it was just to cold.

We also made the programs. I LOVE how they turned out, but I'm not going to lie they were very frustrating to make. The glue was a nightmare!

To get to our ceremony sight our guests had to walk a little rocky path,
so this was at the top of the path.

We decided to do one cake instead of us both having our own cakes.
We had cupcakes for our guests, so the cake was only for the bride and groom.

Our sand ceremony sat on two barrels with a beautiful lace tablecloth draped over the top.

The isle was lined on both sides with hanging mason jars with baby's breath.

Our family and friends blew bubbles during our grand exit.

Isn't this venue just stunning?

We honestly had the best wedding party...EVER!

If this isn't happiness I don't know what is.

This is our favorite wedding picture.

The bridal party had matching shirts with our initials on the pockets.

I wanted the guys to go with the no coat look. I originally thought they would fold their sleeves up since the weather is typically warm in May. Since it was cold our wedding day, they decided to keep their sleeves down. I think it still looked great!

Books I'm Reading

Well number 10 on my 101 in 1001 list is to read 20 books.
When I made the list I thought 20 books would be easy considering how much I love to read.
Boy was I wrong!

I just don't make the time for reading like I use to.
I tend to come up with excuses and other things to do instead (like get on Pinterest).

Anyway, here are 8 books that are on my list to read.
I know it's 8 not 20, but hey you got to start somewhere!

Here's a list of my books:

I plan on reviewing each book as I finish them, so keep an eye out for that!
Also, I will keep you posted on other books that I find that I would like to read.

Facelift

Every now and then change is good. I am one of those people who doesn't really like change, but when I do change something I go all out! ( like the time I suddenly cut my hair into a short bob)

That's what I decided to do for the blog.
I was over the look it had. It needed a total facelift.

I recreated the logo at the top, added new icon links, added a new profile picture, and I'm working on a new about me page.
I have neglected this blog enough. It's time I finally give it the attention it deserves.

In the future I plan on posting more regularly, giving you a better look inside my life, and completing my 101 in 1001.

Stay posted, you won't want to miss this!

Xoxo,
Brittney :)

My Current Mood:New House

My Current Mood: New House

Ben and I finally have a house!! Yay!
Monday is exactly two months before the wedding, so that gives us plenty of time to move our things and to decorate. (Well for me to decorate haha)
My Pinterest lately has been focused mainly on our house. Ways to decorate, plants, front porch ideas, room layouts, and so much more are getting my attention these days.
If you asked me what kind of mood I'm in today I would tell you determined and focused. Today I am focused 100% on our new house. We have been waiting several months on this house, so I am very anxious to get things started!
There are several things that are on my to-do list that MUST be checked off soon. The first thing I plan on completing today is hanging blinds up throughout our entire house.
We have a small two bedroom one bath house, so that isn't as big of a task as it may sound! This weekend Ben wants to get our lining room furniture moved in, so we are going to have a busy couple of days!
I'll post pictures soon!

Mark #1 off the list!

101 in 1001

*image 1
I love blogging. Not only writing my own blog, but reading other peoples blogs. I have a few blogs I read religiously, and I have some I keep in mind and peek at every now and then. One of the blogs I love is Design Darling. She is so inspiring to me!
On her blog, Mackenzie Horan created a list called 101 in 1001. The list consist of 101 things she'd like to complete in 1001 days (2.75 years). I am a total list person so I thought this idea was great! It's a way to create a list of obtainable goals while also marking some things off of my bucket list!
I created my own 101 in 1001 list that I will post.
I also created a tab at the top of the page to make the list easier to find. I hope by putting my list on the blog I will hold myself more accountable.

*NEW LIST COMING SOON*

Top 5 Pinterest Pins

I have been slacking on my blog posting again. It really has been a long time since I've posted anything!  So I've graduated from college and am now currently working part time with two jobs as I search for my career. In my spare time I am now consumed by wedding planning. The wedding is only 4 months away now! I can't believe it! We will be getting our first home in less than a month. Needless to say, a lot has been going on since my last post.
Of course I still make time for Pinterest, so I thought I would share
what has been catching my eye lately.

1.This monogrammed pullover is perfect! I am obsessed with monograms! Since I am going to get married soon I love to get my new initials put on EVERYTHING!
The colors of this pullover are perfect!

2. How great is this color?!? I love rain boots, but the color is what got me hooked to this lovely pair. I believe I will add these onto my list of must haves!

3. I love to eat sushi! Like seriously, I can make a meal out of just sushi. I haven't branched out a lot though when it comes to trying new types of sushi. I'm so afraid of what I might be ordering because I never know what it looks like until I get my plate. I have found that the California Rolls are my favorite. I get them every time I eat sushi. Luckily, I came across this fabulous recipe that I HAD to try. They turned out perfect! I'm definitely keeping this recipe handy.

4. While on a vacation recently, I came across one of these lovely mug sweaters as I like to call them. I didn't but it and I have regretted it ever since (especially when I burn my hand from my coffee cup being to hot to hold!) I would love to learn how to crochet to be able to make these, but I get confused on the whole thing. They easily slide on and off of your mug so they would be easy to use all the time! I'm in love!

5. I have mentioned before that I will be getting married soon, and I think this necklace would be the perfect accessory for me after the wedding. I honestly love everything about it. I think it's perfect! The size is perfect for wearing alone or for layering. The silver makes it easy to match all my outfits. I think I should put this on my list of must haves too!
This would be so cute to wear while on our honeymoon.
Mrs. necklace. to wear right after the wedding in the airport on the way to the honeymoon.
