Rae Everyday 2015

I am loving #RaeEveryday2015! It has really held me accountable to taking more pictures of things going on in my life! I think it'll be really interesting when this year is over to look back at all of the pictures I've taken! If you don't already follow me on Instagram here is a quick recap of some of my pictures this far.

This was Day 1 on New Year's Day!

This was one Sunday after church.

I'm currently reading The Hunger Games! Im really enjoying it so far. A good book and coffee equal a good day for me!

When we have an early dismissal from school, we celebrate by going to eat lunch together!

The stack of papers I need to grade never ends! By the way, I'm loving my Erin Condren planner!

We love to go shopping at thrift stores!

When I have time, which isn't often, I enjoy doodling.

Be sure to follow me on Instagram if you don't already to keep up with #RaeEveryday2015! My username is @brittney_sharp6 !

5 Ways to Be Happy

(This print isn't available anymore, but her Etsy Store is AMAZING! Check it out here)

Do you ever have those days where it seems like nothing can go right? No matter what you say, or what you do everything is going to go wrong. I have those day more often than I would like to admit. I am a control-freak, perfectionist and I know it. That means for me, it's easier for the little things to get to me and bother me. I've tried my best to get better about this, but it just keeps happening.

There are a few things I do whenever I am having those days though that will instantly make me forget everything; therefore, making me in a better mood (happier).

1. Go for a walk.
If the weather is nice, the best way I clear my head is to go for a walk. The warm sun and fresh air help me forget about anything that is bothering me. It gives me a chance to clear my thoughts and start over. It is also great to get that extra exercise too!

2. Listen to music.

Sometimes just turning on my favorite songs will instantly change my mood. It's amazing how music can do that. You can combine this with #1 and listen to your favorite songs while you walk...two-in-one! If you don't want to do that, just escaping to a room and playing music helps me.

3. Read a book.

Am I the only one who can get completely lost in a book? Please tell me I'm not alone on this. When I start reading it's like I leave wherever I'm at and am now in the book. I really feel like I'm watching a movie rather than just reading the book. That is one of the things I love about reading.

4. Do a hobby.

I have so many hobbies it is hard to keep up with them all. Whenever I am in a mood doodling, painting, or coloring (yes in children's coloring books) are things I usually turn to first. Now that I have learned how to crochet I now do that as well. Refocusing my mind 100% on something else makes me forget about whatever I was stressing out about.  Even if you consider getting on Pinterest a hobby, do it! Guilty. Whatever hobby you have that will distract you will do. Here are some things I have made.

5. Writing.

Writing is my go-to a lot. Just putting my feeling and thoughts onto paper make me feel like I have just vented everything to my best friend. Sometimes on my not so great days I just need to talk to someone, let it out. That's exactly what writing lets me do, get it out. Blogging helps to. To me, blogging is a form of online journaling that other people can read. Sometimes I don't want to post EVERYTHING, so a physical journal works best for me.

What do you do to be happy? I'd love to know!
